Just kidding.

For the most part, I’m breaking up with social media platforms. No more Instagram, no more Twitter. Just LinkedIn, which I’ll continue to use for now. Don’t even mention Facebook.

With Instagram and Twitter, the signal-to-noise ratio is too high. Competing with politicians (Twitter) and people making part-time careers out of posting selfies (Instagram) just takes too much work. Then there are “user agreements” to consider, like Instagram claiming their right to use our work for their own purposes at no cost. Not for me, thank you very much.

I hear a lot of editors and buyers frequent Instagram looking for new photographers, but it just seems there are better ways to get noticed these days.
